<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball having a high resilient function and ensuring a long carry by forming a cover out of a composition containing three components of ionomer resin, diene rubber and a material having a part compatible with or capable of reaction to both of the resin and the material, in the golf ball having a core and a cover. SOLUTION: Golf ball with thread wound around a core is formed out of a core 1 made of a center 1a and a rubber thread 1b, and a cover 2 with dimples 2a formed on the surface thereof. Also, the cover 2 is formed out of a cover composition containing three components of ionomer resin, diene rubber, and a material having a part compatible with or capable of reaction to both of the resin and the rubber. In this case, 0.1 to 30 pts.wt., particularly 1 to 25 pts.wt. of the material having a part compatible with or capable of reaction to the ionomer resin and the diene rubber are mixed with the total 100 pts.wt. thereof. A polymer or the like containing maleic anhydride as a single constituent is used as the material compatible with or capable of reaction to both of the ionomer resin and the diene rubber.</p> |
