PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the portable terminal equipment which is superior in operability. SOLUTION: This portable terminal equipment is equipped with an equipment main body 10 and an input/display part 12 which is provided while exposed on the equipment main body and can input and display information, and the equipment main body 10 is provided with a protection cover 20 which freely rotates between a closure position where the input/display part 12 is covered and an opening position where the input/display part 12 is open. The protection cover 20 has a transparent window part 22 which enables the information display part 12a of the input/display part 12 to be viewed from outside at the closure position and operation buttons 24 which are provided opposite the input/ display part 12 and used for input to the function display area 12b of the input/ display part 12.
