Device for determining from one or more different directions the geometrical pattern of a mark (2) being randomly shaped in three dimensions and being embedded in a transparent material (5) and securely fixed to an object (6; 10). A radiation source (14; 14a, 14b; 14c) is designed to emit radiation (16; 16a, 16b) to a matrix (18) of radiation detectors (20). Means are provided for placing the object (6; 10) with the mark (2) in the path of the radiation (16; 16a, 16b) for projecting a silhouette of the mark onto the matrix of radiation detectors by the or each radiation source. <IMAGE> |
