FIELD: application of coatings. SUBSTANCE: sprayer is destined for applying various powder coatings onto surfaces to be treated. Sprayer has: grounded case enclosing fitting for delivery air-powder mix fastened to the end cover and forming a gap between itself and case for compressed air to be fed; dielectric tube with dielectric cylinder axially movably installed therein and having a splitter on its outer collar; centering bushing for powder-feeding means coupled with the tube on outer end; second splitter on inner end of cylinder oriented toward fitting and being in spaced relation with tube to enable tribocharging. Device of invention is distinguished with being additionally provided with a means for adjusting and fixing tribocharging gap. The second splitter is made from two flattened truncated cones with polyhedrals in their bases. Outer end of additional bushing and inner end of centering bushing are cone-shaped. Cylinder is disposed inside centering bushing in spaced relation to the latter to feed air-powder mix. The first splitter is replaceable. Sprayer is provided with means forming air curtain for air-powder plume in the form of annular nozzle on outer side surface of centering bushing. Sprayer also has means for electrostatic charging in the form of two electrodes and high-voltage source, and means for removal of static charge from dielectric members. Additional means for formation of air curtain is available in the form of annular nozzle with adjustable cross-section located on outer end surface of the framework. EFFECT: improved design. |
