TV receiver with TV text decoder

The decoder(1) processes the text signals transmitted during the TV blanking intervals. The receiver contains a microcontroller (2) and a page memory (3) in which, in addition to the text pages, are stored the available organisation assistance, such as the basic TOP table. These are stored together with the transmitted text pages with decimal page numbers, as well as the titles for blocks, groups, and directly selectable pages. There is a header protocol (4) for the pages in the transmitted TV text cycles. The microcontroller generates a basic TOP table and an extra information table from the text signals from a transmitter, without an organisation assistance. This is stored in a second memory (5) or a third memory (6), for the basic TOP table or text information, respectively.
