EMC clip e.g. for cable and cable harness of motor vehicle HV ignition system

The electromagnetically compatible (EMC) clip (1) is movable in the car electric equipment and consists of support material different from that of the cable etc. It comprises layers of absorbent material for electromagnetic interference prediction. Typically the absorbent material in a dielectric of electrically polarised particles, pref. ferrites. The support material is silicone. The clip may be located on a bolt (3) in the support material element (5), or in a bore (4) in the support material element. The connection may be of plug or threaded type.
