FIELD: metallurgy of noble metals, particular, recovery of gold and silver from cyanide solutions by electrolysis. SUBSTANCE: method of recovery of noble metals from cyanide solutions includes supply of solution to electrolytic bath and its subsequent contact, first, with cathode, and then, with anode. Prior to electrolysis, added to solution is 1-5 g of ferrous salt per liter of solution. Electrolysis is carried out at anode current density of 10-300 A/sq.m. Cyanide consumption is reduced by 3-7.5 times, as compared with the prototype. EFFECT: reduced cyanide consumption and toxic effluents in the process. |
