FIELD: gas purification. SUBSTANCE: invention concerns purification of gases from solid microinclusions and can be employed in chemical, microbiological and other industries where heat and mass-exchange processes are used. Apparatus has casing 1 with contact plate 2, which supports units of contact members 3 in the form of cylindrical branch pipes, each provided with: inner swirling device 4 with blind upper basis 5 in the form of body of revolution with apex directed inside swirling device 4; impingement baffle 6; overflow fittings 7; and upper additional swirling device 8 with blind lower basis 9. Above upper plate 10, there is distribution tank 11 to sprinkle contact members 3. Tank is connected with contact member 3 through pipes 12 placed axially with contact members 3. Apparatus also has gas inlet 13, gas outlet 14, nipple 15 to deliver liquid for sprinkling, drain pipe 16, and overflow line 17. Blind upper basis of each additional swirling device is made either in the form of toroidal surface, resulted from revolution of circle with diameter equal to that of inlet opening in additional plate, around axis coinciding with tangent to this circle, or in the form of circular cone or hemisphere with diameter equal to that of inlet opening in additional plate.
