Flexible conductor for endscopes

A conventional endescope has a fibre optical conductor consisting of a large number of fibres that have been organised and aligned in parallel such that input points align without output points The proposed system uses randomly oriented fibres. Identification of inputs with outputs is achieved with the aid of a special test image and an image processing routine. This allows the endoscope images to be reconstituted correctly.
