A fused protein consisting of a protein (support protein) originating in a cell invasive protein which recognizes specifically the specific target cell or proteins and serves as the support and the targeted protein (target protein); a bacterium exhibiting the fused protein on the surface of the same; and a bacterial peptide library which is an aggregate of such bacteria. Further, it is possible to impart an arbitrary biological activity (for example, the ability to bind to cells or proteins or the ability to bind to or invade cells) to the fused protein. The bacterium easily causes self-reproduction and is relatively stable because it undergoes relatively little change or denaturation in such operations as preservation, etc.
