The arrangement has an embedded aerial (2) on the underside of a glove (1), made as a fixing element or base. The aerial responds to a transponder on a gas cylinder, for example. The glove is worn by the operator handling the cylinder. On the upper surface of the glove there is mounted an interface (3) which is coupled with the antenna on one side and with the terminal (4) on the other side of the glove. The interface prepares the data for reception and transmission over the antenna. The data is passed along the cable (5) to the terminal. The interface is provided with a control surface or keyboard (6), and it is easily accessible by the other hand.
