Combination of lock cylinder and flat key

The circular cross-section core (2) with longitudinal profile or longitudinal rib profile is rotatably located in the key channel for a flat key (15), with variable cut-outs (14) on the narrow side. Spring-loaded pin retainers (10,13) extend crossways to the core rotary axis (3), are arranged in rows in planes running parallel to the core rotary axis, and have at least one core pin and a housing pin. From the control surface on the flat key point (28) a slide-type stage pin (22) is operable, extending coaxially to the core rotary axis. The stage pin controls a locking core pin (30) which secures the core against rotation.
