Vehicle head light with at least one light source (10) and reflector (12) reflecting the light beam produced. In the path of the reflected light a reflecting guidance system (18) is provided which directs the light beam from the reflector. The guidance system has a number of individual reflecting elements (22) which, independently of one another, can move between at least two defined positions. In one position each reflecting element can be so arranged that the light it reflects is part of the main beam and in another position it does not contribute to it and the position of each element can be set by electromagnetic means.
