The production method is for circuit boards (12) forming an assembly (70). The circuit boards are stamped out parallel to each other and then led as series through a feed device (10) of a rotary or guide mechanism (14). The mechanism has a rotator (16) with a rotary station (38). The stamped out circuit boards are rotated through 90 deg. about an axis parallel to their longitudinal axis from the horizontal to the vertical plane.
