The actuator (28) engages a slidable contact carrier (20) with at least one movable contact, while the switch contains at least one fixed contact (16) and terminal contacts (44). There are several, mutually associated fixed and movable contacts. Each movable contact coacts with at least one fixed contact each shaped like a comb. The fixed contacts are located along a straight line, orthogonally to it and mutually adjacent in a holder (14). Pref. the movable contacts are fitted adjacent to each other in the contact carrier.
