Socket-type connector for high-pressure pipe

The connecting device is for high-pressure pipes. The end of the pipe is inserted into a socket (1) with a male thread on the outside. A sleeve (2) is screwed onto this socket and has a female thread on its larger diameter inside surface. The larger diameter inside surface is joined to a smaller diameter cylindrical surface, which fits closely on the outside of the pipe, by a conical portion. This conical portion presses on a matching conical surface of a clamping ring (3), pushing it forwards and squeezing it onto the pipe. The thin end of the clamping ring facing towards the end of the pipe presses against and is squeezed inwards by a conical surface with a shallow angle of taper on a sealing ring (4). The sealing ring has axial (5) and radial (6) seals made of elastomeric material.
