Each ring (3) has roller-bearings at two axially spaced positions and between these roller bearings (5a,5b) a drum brake-type brake component (6a,6b) is arranged. The brake component extends over the entire periphery of the shaft (1). The brake component comprises a spring plate supported on the shaft with a pressure-fed cushion and a brake lining arranged on the inner surface of the ring. The roller bearings are sealed in relation to the brake components. The rings have a cover surface subject to friction to assist in braking.
