The present invention relates to aqueous rinsing solutions for use during and after endoscopic operation, which contain one oligopeptide or several oligopeptides, the property thereof being to bind to cell adhesion molecules. The cell adhesion molecules are taken to mean molecules or groups of molecules used to provide contact between cells themselves or between cells and diverse matrix structures. By using the aqueous solutions according to the invention, tumour cells released during endoscopic resection are effectively prevented from adhering to the wall of cavities or hollow organs. As a result, there is a substantial reduction in the relapse incidence rate for superficial carcinomas of the relevant cavities and hollow organs.
