FIELD: sugar industry, in particular, sugar beet chipping equipment. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has housing, disk with cutter frames and knives, beet hopper, drive. Volute-type discharge device with pipe for discharging juice-and-beet chip mixture into diffusion unit is attached to lower side of housing. Disk with cutter frames and knives is disposed in volute-type device. Blades fixed on lower side of disk are bent to the side opposite to the direction of rotation of disk, which is fixed on end of vertical shaft connected with drive through cone drive. Cylindrical box disposed in lower part of beet hopper is provided with heated juice supplying pipe and discharge openings for exit of heated juice into beet chipping zone. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of beet chips by usage of liquid in apparatus and reduced saccharose loss (in beet pulp and unaccounted). |
