FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: milking unit has milking apparatuses, vacuum pump, vacuum regulator, vacuum pipeline with branches and milk pipeline with milking branches, protective chambers, washing device. Vacuum pipeline has pneumatic switch connected with washing device. Differential regulator is mounted at outlet of each protective chamber. In the process of washing of milking unit at suction cycle, washing device is connected to vacuum pump. Washing liquid is supplied from bath into milking apparatuses, milking pipeline branches and into discharger. During rest cycle, washing liquid is supplied from milk pipeline branches into protective chambers. During washing, variable flow direction and reciprocating motion of washing liquid are provided.
