<p>High energy dietary supplements which include fat which is at least partially hydrolysed and in which about 40 % to about 55 % of the total energy of the supplement is provided by the fat. The supplements preferably also include one or more non-toxic emulsifiers. The fat is preferably partially hydrolysed milk fat. The supplements also optionally contain other conventional nutritive components such as a carbohydrate source, a texture modifier, sweeteners and flavouring agents. The supplements may be provided either in liquid, semi-solid or solid form, and are believed to be particularly suitable for consumption by endurance athletes.</p> |
