The automobile has a satellite navigation system for detecting the vehicle position, with the position stored when the vehicle is parked and compared with the actual position of the vehicle at a later point, to allow alarm the anti-theft device to be activated when the compared positions are not the same. Pref. the stored position of the vehicle upon parking is compared with its position upon the engine being re-started, for activating a disabling device when the compared positions are not the same.
