PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time for repairing and mending and to simplify them by detecting and analyzing a fogging pattern, judging whether a recorder is abnormal or not with the results of the analysis and specifying the cause of the abnormality of the recorder. SOLUTION: When an abnormal vibration larger than an amplitude caused by deterioration, etc., in each mechanism of a recording mechanism part 11, for instance, a gear, etc., as a driving system for a developing machine is generated, the positional relations between a photoreceptor drum and a developing roller are fluctuated and the concentration of toner generates a level difference in concentration corresponding to the width of the amplitude of the vibration, to form or record an image on an image forming body or a recording medium. An analyzing means 12 detects/analyzes the fogging pattern generated in a nonimage region on the image forming body or the recording medium. An abnormality inspecting means 13 judges whether the device is abnormal or not with the results of the analysis by the analyzing means 12. When it is judged that the device is abnormal, an abnormal place is specified. Thus, the abnormal place, etc., as the cause of the abnormality of the device and the contents of the abnormality are specified so that the determination of the cause and processing for repairing, etc., are quickly attained. |
