PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable operation for many base stations with a small number of digital lines even in an area wherein radio zones of low traffic are successively present. SOLUTION: A radio link connects a master base station BM which accommodate digital lines and a plurality slave base stations BS which operate under the control of the master base station BM in a loop by radio lines, and the respective base stations interface with mobile equipments PS in the areas that they are in charge of. When the radio link is in normal operation, transmission and reception are performed through the unidirectional route of an adjacent slave base station BS and if a fault occurs to the link, signals are returned at the fault place and sent and received in a bidirectional route. Consequently, the operation cost is low with a small number of digital lines, and the restrictions of installation places of the base stations are small; and base stations can be increased and decreased in number and speedy measures against fault occurrence can be taken. |
