<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently culture vascular endothelial cell by carrying out the cultivation in a medium incorporated with a urokinase active to promote the proliferation of vascular endothelial cell or its precursor, thereby promoting the proliferation of the cell. SOLUTION: Vascular endothelial cell is efficiently cultured while keeping its characteristic cell form by inoculating vascular endothelial cells originated from human aorta, etc., in a medium containing endothelial cell growth factor, fibroblast growth factor, epidermal all growth factor, hydrocortisone, gentamicin, bovine fetus serum, etc., in a collagen-coated 24-hole plate at a rate of 1×10<4> cells/0.5ml/well, culturing the cell for 4 days and continuing the culture in a serum medium incorporated with urokinase or its precursor. The present invention provides a technology to promote the proliferation of vascular endothelial cell absolutely without giving adverse effect on the vascular endothelial cell and extremely useful as a reagent for biochemical field or an examination agent or diagnostic agent for medical field.</p> |
