PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key input device which can prevent the wrong execution of processing when a key is depressed just by an instantaneous touch and also when the baggage is put on a key thereby the key is continuously depressed. SOLUTION: An execution means (transmission means) 13 carries out the processing (radio transmission of data) corresponding to a depressed key 2 only when the depressing time (t) of the key 2 is kept in a prescribed time range (t1 <t<t2 , t1≠0). The means 13 carries out no processing for the key 2 when the key 2 is depressed just by an instantaneous touch and also when the baggage is put on the key 2 to depress the key 2 continuously. When the time (t) reaches the lower limit value t1 of the prescribed time range, this fact is reported to the key operator via a report means 14.
