PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the output torque by setting the fixing angle of a magnet body with respect to the center of pole of a permanent magnet based on the magnetic vector of permanent magnet and the magnetic vector produced by the exciting current of stator. SOLUTION: A stator 1 and a rotor 2 are arranged concentrically through an air gap 3 for allowing rotation of the rotor 2. Slots 11 are made in the inner circumferential surface of stator 1 and the primary winding is set in each slot 11. The rotor 2 comprises a yoke 22, a quadrupole permanent ring magnet 21, and a magnetic body, i.e., four iron pieces 23. The iron 23 is arranged on the outer circumferential surface of permanent magnet 21 with the circumferential center thereof leading by an angleθahead of the center of pole of permanent magnet 21 in the rotational direction of rotor 2. The angleθis set, based on the magnetic vector of permanent magnet 21 and the magnetic vector produced by the exciting current of stator 1.
