摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform maintenance only on a required part while keeping the other part operated by connecting superconductuing coils in parallel to both ends of a persistent current switch an isolator for being housed in a heat insulating vacuum container having at least the persistent current switch as power supply and independent from the superconducting coil. SOLUTION: Superconducting coils 1 are connected in parallel to both ends of a current switch 2 through an isolator 6. After holding the persistent current switch 2 in an 'off' state, a current is supplied from a power supply 4. At the time when a prescribed current is reached, the persistent current switch 2 is put in an 'on' state so as to make a current from the power supply 4 a circulating current in order to store electromagnetic energy. The persistent current switch 2 is housed in a persistent current switch container 16 and the superconducting coil 1 is housed in a superconducting coil container 11, that is in respectively independent heat insulating vacuum containers. Thereby, only the part requiring such as maintaining is allowed to break a vacuum and to raise a temperature. From above, the persistent current switch can be completely separated as it keeps operated.
