PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find the moving vectors of an upper block and a lower block at the same time and further to find the distortion of a field block from two distortions. SOLUTION: The registers and computing elements in the distortion calculation unit of the moving vector search device are provided with 1st flip-flops 3121, 4221, and 4321 and 2nd flip-flops 3122, 4222, and 4322; and pixel data of two segments are sent in time sharing manner and two distortions are computed on in time sharing manner. Further, the two distortions are added together to find the distortion of the field and the moving vectors of the segments and field are found to find the moving vectors of the two segments and the moving vector of the field. |
