<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for backpost assemblies, to facilitate working and assembling and to make a piano compact by providing a front plate for extended strings and a metallic rear plate connected to the rear surface side of this front plate across a soundboard. SOLUTION: The plate 1 is composed of the front plate 1a and the rear plate 1b. Liner 5 are mounted at the front surface of the rear plate 1b along both backposts 31, 31, a sill 32 and a case 34. Through the liner 5, a soundboard 8 to which sound ribs 6 and bridges 7 are attached, is installed. The crown along the slopes of the liner 5 is, thereby, imparted to the soundboard 8. A pin block 9 is mounted across a girder 33 and the case 34 at the upper part of the front surface of the rear plate 1b. The front plate 1a made of casting for extending the strings S is connected by, for example, plural lock screws 26... at the rear plate 1b across the soundboard 8 and the pin block 9.</p> |
