PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the difference between the real image gradation and the pseudo gradation b a dither method small. SOLUTION: 4bit dither multilevel data are outputted to a digital input display device for each of R, G, B by converting 8bit multilevel data 1a for every R, G, B to be read out from the LUT memory 51a in a color conversion palette control circuit 51 in accordance with index information to be read out from a VRAM 4 by control of a display control 2 into 8bit multilevel data 1c to be expressed by an output N by inputting the data 1a to a linear multilevel transformation table 52 having the input-output relation defined by an equation, output N=floor (inputN×241/256+0.5), as an inputN and by performing a dither multilevel control in a dither conversion circuit 53 based on the 8bit multilevel data 1c and corresponding X, Y coordinate values 1d from the controller 2.
