AFFINITY RESIN FOR PURIFICATION OF PLASMA KALLIKREIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject resin capable of easily separating and purifying a plasma kallikrein and easily producing a large amount of a plasma kallikrein having extremely high purity by using a specific compound acting as a specific and strong inhibitor on plasma kallikrein and fixing the compound as a ligand. SOLUTION: This affinity resin is composed of (A) a ligand consisting of N-(trans-4-aminomethylcyclohexylcarbonyl)-L-phenylalanine-4- carboxymethylanilide fixed to (B) a substrate (preferably a hydrophiliuc vinyl polymer having amino group and especially having an amino group content of 150-200μmol/ml-gel). The resin is produced preferably by reacting the component A having amino group with the amino-protected component B in the presence of a condensation agent and deprotecting the amino-protecting group.
