Heated air weed control machine

A vegetation control system (500) employs heated gases (predominately heated air (520) and some combustion products (504)) maintained within an open-bottomed container (501) to be towed over a weed-infested area. It is capable of killing vegetation using temperatures of about 300 DEG C wherein the flame (503) from which the heat is developed passes through a combustion zone (540) and through heat exchanger tubes (506) whilst air is driven across the tubes (506) by a fan (521) and into an open bottomed plenum chamber (530) which passes over the ground to be treated.
