摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a material having magnetic resistance effect in which magnetic resistance effect more excellent than that of a permalloy thin film can be obtd. by a single layer film. SOLUTION: This material is the one having a body-centered cubic structure, in which fine crystal grains with <=5nm average grain size essentially consisting of Fe are dispersed into amorphous phases contg. compounds of at least one or >= two kinds selected from the groups of rare earth metal elements, Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb, Ta and W and N or O, the volume ratio of the amorphous phases is regulated to the one occupying at least >=20% of the structure, furthermore, the specific resistance of the amorphous phases is regulated to >=10<2>μΩm, and the distance between the fine crystal grains is regulated to 3 to 10nm on the average.
