PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find a measured value of a specific area among color display by calculating a boundary between an area and an adjacent other area on the basis of areal information of the color display, and calculating the measured value related to the specific area from calculated boundary information. SOLUTION: While observing a display surface of a display device 6, among an area displayed by a color, an area particularly requiring measurement is specified by a command of a keyboard 7, and this specific area 12 is displayed. Designation of this area 12 is unnecessary when a measured value in the whole areas of color display is found. Information corresponding to the area 12 among informations to be displayed by a color is again taken out of an image memory 4 by designation from the keyboard 7. A CPU 8 calculates a color display area by binarization on the basis of taken-out information. Information of a color display area 13 in the area 12 is found. Operation is performed on a measured value of the area and the volume of this area 13. |
