PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a metallic-luster color ink which retains good writing functions even after a long storage by compounding a metal powder pigment, a resin, and a specific solvent such as methoxy-2-propanone or propylene glycol dimethoxymethyl ether. SOLUTION: This ink is prepd. by compounding a metal pigment powder, a resin, and a compd. represented by formula I (wherein R<1> and R<2> are each CH3 or COCH3 and R<3> is H or CH3 ) and/or a compd. represented by formula II (wherein X is a group represented by formula III, etc.) pref. in an amt. of 5-90wt.%. These compds. are solvents and neither degrade nor corrode a metal powder, examples being methoxy-2-propanone, ethylene glycol dimethoxymethyl ether, and propylene glycol monomethyl ether acetate. The ink retains a metallic luster for a long term even when stored in a writing utensil and does not cause blur in written lines. |
