PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the sizes of channel-cut crystal moving mechanisms and, at the same time, to also use the moving mechanisms as angle adjusting mechanisms by performing the switching among slit collimation, channel-cut monochromator collimation, and four-crystal monochromator collimation by only rotating channel-cut crystals. SOLUTION: In the state of slit collimation, two reflecting surfaces of channel-cut crystals 36 and 38 are made to be parallel to an incident X-ray beam 44 so that the beam 44 can pass through the space between the two reflecting surfaces of the crystals 36 and 38. In the state of channel-cur monochromator collimation, the first crystal 36 is turned clockwise by a prescribed angle around a center of rotation 40. In the state of four-crystal monochromator collimation, the crystals 36 and 38 are turned in the opposite directions by prescribed angles around centers of rotation 40 and 42. |
