PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to easily mold a buffer material for transporting a tool such as a pench without using a large-sized compressor by simple facility and method by heating crosslinked polyethylene open-cell foam sheet at a specific temperature, compressing it by an ambient temperature mold, and molding in a desired shape. SOLUTION: Crosslinked polyethylene open-cell foam containing ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer as a base material is cut to a sheet, heated at 90 to 120 deg.C, compressed by an ambient temperature mold after removing, and molded in a desired shape. After the heated sheet is removed, a pench is imediately placed, it is left to stand for a predetermined time, and then the pench is removed. Then, the open-cell foam is compression molded in the shape of the pench, and suitable as a buffer material for transporting a tool. |
