<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a toner excellent in triboelectric chargeability and durability in use for a large number of times of development. SOLUTION: This toner has toner particles contg. at least a bonding resin, a colorant, a polar resin and a releasing agent. The bonding resin is a styrene polymer, a styrene copolymer or a mixture of them and has a wt. average mol.wt. (Mw1 ) of 10,000-1,000,000. The polar resin is polyester resin, the wt. average mol.wt. (Mw2 ) of the tetrahydrofuran(THF)-soluble component of the polyester resin is 7,000-50,000 and the wt. average mol.wt. (Mw3 ) of the ethanol- soluble component of the polyester resin is 1,000-7,000. The ratio of Mw2 to Mw3 is 1.2-10.</p> |
