The air supply component has slot-type mouthpieces (4) arranged around the hood (1) periphery and orientated towards a source for the harmful contaminants. - An apparatus is provided for distribution of air from an air feed channel (3) to the slot-type mouthpieces (4). This apparatus is formed as a distribution chamber (5) in a central part of the hood (1) and connected with the air feed channel. It is provided with pressure distribution tubes (6) extending to each mouthpiece. Each of these tubes is connected with a corresponding mouthpiece at a point located at an equal distance from the mouthpiece ends.
