摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical recording device having a high density recording and a highly precise recording by making mean intensities of a light to be irradiated in a recording mark part and the other part equal to eliminate the influence of thermal interference. SOLUTION: In the case of performing a recording, an optical spot 106 is formed by irradiating an optical recording medium 105 with the laser beam 103 intensity- modulated by a laser driver 102. Intensities of the laser beam at the time of recording a signal '1' are made to be 5mW the inner most periphery of a disk and 7mW in the outer most periphery. Pulse widths of the beam are respectively made to be 14nsec. in the innermost periphery and 7nsec. in the outer most periphery. At the time of recording a signal '0', recording intensities are respectively made to be 2.5mW, 3.5mW and pulse widths are respectively made to be 28nsec., 14msec. In this state, the irradiation timing of pulses recording the signal '1' are made to be more delayed than the timing of pulses recording the signal '0' 5nsec. in the inner most periphery and by 2.5nsec. in the outer most periphery. Thus, recording means powers in unit recording times are made almost equal. Consequently, the thermal control of the medium at the time of the recording becomes easy.
