PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety cap for a writing instrument even if an infant erroneously swallows it in the cap that the end of a clip is extended from the edge of a cap body being short. SOLUTION: A clip 2 for a writing instrument is integrally fanned with a cylindrical cap body 1 with a bottom via a mounting protrusion 3 formed on the outer periphery of the vicinity of the tail end of the body 1, and the end of the clip is extended from the edge of the body. The lateral width of the protrusion is formed smaller than that of the clip to form the sectional shape substantially in a T shape, and the pressure contact ball 4 of the clip is so formed as to be disposed at the opposed position near the edge of the body. |
