PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the responsiveness excellent by supporting an image pickup means so as to freely rock around an axis in a direction orthogonally crossing an optical axis, oscillating the image pickup means by applying the oscillation of a piezoelectric element to the image pickup means at the time of wobbling, and detecting which of the optical axis directions a focusing optical system should be moved in, according to the difference of the high frequency components of video signals caught by different parts on an image pickup surface by the oscillation thereof. SOLUTION: A casing 12 holding the image pickup means 11 is supported to be freely oscillated by an oscillating shaft 13 in the direction orthogonally crossing the optical axis S, the piezoelectric element 15 controlled by a control circuit 16 is attached to the back surface side of an input projection part 12a formed at one part of the casing 12, and the front surface side of the projection part 12a is energized by the restoring force of a return spring 17. At the time of wobbling, a voltage is impressed on the piezoelectric element 15 so that the element 15 may be oscillated to oscillate the image pickup surface 11a. Since one side of the surface 11a comes close to a focusing surface P and the other side goes away therefrom interposing oscillating shaft 13 between them, by detecting that, the moving direction of the focusing optical system is recognized. |
