PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method capable of performing a filtering such as smoothing for reducing the quantity of image information in a texture area while keeping the naturality of image. SOLUTION: When the processed image information at an objective position in the image is generated based on the image information at the objective position and the peripheral positions, weighting to the image information at the positions near the objective position is changed in accordance with the ratio of part detected as the texture area to the peripheral part of the objective position. |
