PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the method for limiting a sound volume of a terminal for a hotel CATV in which revamping of a television receiver is not required, the user of a guest room controls sound volume optionally and occurrence of an event causing trouble of sound volume to adjacent guest rooms at night is avoided. SOLUTION: When a control sound volume set by a terminal 9 is smaller than an upper limit of an output sound volume received from a center, a CPU 12 as a control means controls a volume control section 16 so as to obtain the control sound volume. When the control sound volume set by the terminal 8 is higher than an upper limit of an output sound volume received from the center C, the CPU 12 controls the volume control section 16 so as to provide an output of the upper limit of the received output sound volume. Thus, even when the sound volume is limited by the center C, the user of a guest room revises optionally the sound volume within a range smaller than the upper limit of the received output sound volume. |
