PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a highly reliable solar cell excellent in appearance and a method for fabricating the solar cell inexpensively. SOLUTION: A transparent conductive layer 7 provided on the light incident side of an optically active layer is partially composed of a material having low resistance thus providing current collecting electrode parts 20b, 20b,... thereat. Other parts serve as transparent conductive parts 20a, 20a,.... An electrode layer 20 on the light incident side comprising the transparent conductive parts and current collecting electrode parts has a flat light incident surface 30 and a transparent protective film 6 can be applied tightly thereon without allowing intrusion of any bubbles. Consequently, the transparent protective film 6 is not stripped off easily and the appearance is improved. Furthermore, fabrication cost can be reduced because the current collection electrode can be formed without using conductive paste. |
