PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the automatic vending machine from getting out of order and improve the operation rate by providing a self-diagnostic means which inspects a fault, etc., periodically. SOLUTION: A self-diagnostic control part 5 sends a command for self- diagnostic checking first. With the command, the self-diagnostic control part 5 starts a test run of a drive part and a read/write(R/W) part 4 to make a self-diagnostic check. After the self-diagnostic check is completed, its result is recorded in a storage part 6 and sent to a host B through a communication part 2 and a communication line A. The host B analyzes the reported result and judges whether or not maintenance is needed and further the degree of emergency if the maintenance is needed. Therefore, a fault is found on the information from the automatic vending machine 1, so a repair time becomes proper and even when the maintenance is performed after the fault is found, it is already known which part has gotten out of order, so the maintenance can be performed easily, properly, and speedily. |
