PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which prevents timer time set for an automatic shutoff function from being cumulated. SOLUTION: After the finish of a copying operation, a first timer (for example, two hours) is started. In the case a mode selection key is operated after the start, count by the first timer is temporarily stopped to start a second timer (for example, ten minutes), and in the case the second timer measures up the elapsed time, the first timer is restarted. As a result, for example, the automatic shutoff function is actuated after an elapse of two hours and ten minutes after the finish of the copying operation, therefore timer time cumulation (for example, two hours t two hours = four hours) is prevented, and adverse effects due to wasteful power consumption and the application of heat to the roller and the like of a fixing device for a long time can be prevented. |
