<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mouse capable of setting the movement of a mouse cursor displayed on a display device only in a vertical or horizontal direction in the mouse. SOLUTION: The connection of a vertical moving quantity detection encoder 8 with a computer is opened/closed by a horizontal movement dedicated setting switch 6 mounted on the main body 2 of the mouse. Also, the connection circuit of a horizontal moving quantity detection encoder 9 with the computer is opened/closed by a vertical movement dedicated setting switch 5 mounted on the main body 2 of the mouse 1. Therefore, either a vertical movement signal in accordance with the moving quantity in the vertical direction of the mouse cursor or a horizontal movement signal in accordance with the moving quantity in the horizontal direction of the mouse cursor is inputted to the computer by depressing the vertical movement dedicated setting switch 5 or the horizontal movement dedicated setting switch 6 mounted on the main body 2 of the mouse 1.</p> |
