PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a station capable of performing error correction encoding of a transmission signal only when a transmitted signal is a long one. SOLUTION: The transmission controller 101 of a transmission part 12 monitors the transmission signal generated in a signal processor 16. When the transmission signal is generated, the transmission controller 101 refers to signal length detected by a signal length measuring instrument 102, and decides whether or not the signal length is longer than a reference value decided in advance. When the former is longer than the latter, the transmission signal is delivered to an error correction encoder 103 to heighten the reliability of the transmission signal. Conequently, the error correction encoder 103 performs the error correction encoding on the transmission signal and transmits it to a radio channel by using a transmitter 105. While, when the signal length is shorter than the reference value decided in advance, the transmission controller 101 transmits the transmission signal to the radio channel by directly delivering to the transmitter 105.
